DGAL Services
The Directorate provides a wide range of analytical and advisory services to government institutions responsible for the administration of justice, law and order, as well as statutory agencies responsible for forensic investigations, environmental management, public health, compliance to standards, narcotics and drug analytical investigations, fraud investigations, security, and intelligence as well as promotion of trade, private sector competitiveness, and growth.
Broadly, DGAL services are centered on:
Facilitating effective legal proceedings for provision of justice by providing scientific evidence and expert witness advice;
Contributing to the protection of the environment and public safety and health of people of Uganda, by participating in the establishment of integrated chemicals management systems and regulating consumer and inductrial chemicals.
Promotion of trade and private sector competitiveness for economic growth and development.
